I am from Madagascar, where the foods are fresh, organic, and cooked in a healthy way. On this website, I share some of our must-try traditional and tasty Madagascan (Malagasy) dishes.
It is important to note that in Madagascar, food names can vary slightly from region to region, and cooking methods may differ as well. In this context, I will primarily use the official Malagasy names for foods, along with names commonly used in the northern regions of Madagascar. Additionally, cooking techniques may vary, as each family often adds their unique touch to their dishes.
As we say in Madagascar: ”izay manan-tsira mahay mahandro” which litteraly means ‘He who has salt knows how to cook’.
